How to play Math Runner (Classic)
You have 60 seconds and a multiple-choice math problem on screen. Tap the correct answer as fast as you can to build your streak and score. Each correct answer brings the next problem, and the game adapts difficulty as you get faster. Great for building raw arithmetic fluency under a friendly time pressure.
- Press Start. You have 60 seconds.
- A problem appears with four possible answers.
- Tap the answer you think is right. A correct answer scores and moves straight to the next problem, and a streak builds your multiplier.
- The difficulty adapts as you go, so getting faster makes the problems harder rather than ending the game.
Difficulty levels
- Easy (Grade 3) — Addition, subtraction and multiplication with numbers up to 20. For example: 14 + 7
- Medium (Grade 4) — All four operations, division included, with numbers up to 50. For example: 48 ÷ 6
- Hard (Grade 5) — All four operations with numbers up to 100. For example: 84 ÷ 7
For parents
- This one is for fluency — recalling facts quickly — not for learning a new idea. Use it after a concept is understood, not to introduce one.
- A 60-second round is short on purpose. Three rounds is a reasonable session; more than that and speed stops improving.
- If your child is guessing rather than calculating, switch them to Fraction Pizza or Number Line Jump, which are untimed.
In the classroom
- A round is exactly 60 seconds, so it fits the last few minutes of a lesson or a transition.
- Good as a whole-class warm-up on a projector: everyone plays their own round at their own level at the same time.
- Share to Google Classroom or Copy link — students play instantly, with no accounts to create or reset.
