How to play Fraction Pizza
Each round shows a target fraction, like 3/8. Add and remove slices to match it. Press Submit to check your pizza. The picture connects numerators and denominators to parts of a whole.
- Choose Easy. A round has eight questions and no timer.
- Read the target, for example “Build 3/8 of a pizza”.
- Use Add Slice and Remove Slice to match the fraction.
- Press Submit to check. After a miss, try again or reveal the answer.
Difficulty levels
- Easy — Build halves, quarters, or eighths. For example: Build 3/8 of a pizza
- Medium — Spot equivalent fractions. For example: Which fraction equals 1/2?
- Hard — Compare two fractions with unlike denominators. For example: Which is larger, 3/8 or 3/4?
For parents
- Ask your child to say the fraction before tapping. Three of eight slices means three eighths.
- After a miss, ask your child to draw the pizza. The area model matters more than using the app.
- There is no timer here on purpose. If your child rushes, slowing down costs them nothing.
In the classroom
- A round has eight questions. It takes about three to five minutes. Try it as a warm-up or station activity.
- Choose a level for parts of a whole, equivalent fractions, or comparison. Students can retry at their own pace.
